Hi, I’m Kirsten

Journalist. Photographer.
Artist. Storyteller.

For more than a decade, I’ve been documenting stories about people. I cut my teeth as a reporter, working at newspapers and broadcast stations everywhere from Ontario to the Canadian Arctic. It taught me the art of observation; how to not just hear, but listen; and how to tell stories you can actually feel.

Today, I have the privilege of documenting a different kind of story: love stories. I continue to carry my experience as a journalist with me; it deeply informs my storytelling approach to photography. 

I genuinely believe each of us has a story to tell if we take the time to listen, and that our stories are worth preserving. Stories give our lives meaning. They help us understand where we come from and make sense of where we’re going. They bring us comfort and serve as a guide for future generations. Stories are the fabric of our lives.

It’s my absolute privilege to be invited into people’s lives to document their stories, and I can’t wait to tell yours. I promise to handle it with care and reflect it back to you in a way that feels honest and true.
